MXC Foundation Launches Legal Action Against “MXC Exchange”

Berlin, Germany, 26th, June 2020, — The Berlin based IoT Token “MXC”, formally launches legal action against the defendant, the “MXC Exchange” charged with multiple international trademark infringements. The MXC Foundation has requested an immediate “cease and desist” of all activities in regards to the use of the “MXC” Trademark, however, the “MXC Exchange” has, until this point, refused to comply with these requests and international law.

MXC Foundation Takes the Lawsuit to Chinese Court

The legal process against the defendant will take place in China, the home country of the Chinese Exchange, in an attempt to bring a swift end to the matter of repeated and deliberate international trademark infringements.

After having been ignored multiple formal requests to cease the use of the “MXC” trademark, the MXC Foundation has now been forced to aggressively defend the registered “MXC” trademark against the “MXC Exchange” of China. The continued misuse of the “MXC” trademark has been a detriment to the MXC Foundation and, as a result, monetary damages will additionally be pursued in court as well as a complete end to the use of the term “MXC” by the Exchange.

Apple, Google, and Medium Sides with MXC Foundation

The MXC Foundation respectfully acknowledges the recent move from Apple Inc., to host the MXC DataDash App whilst removing the infringing “MXC Exchange” Application from the iOS App-Store, thus abiding by international trademark law and recognizing the MXC Foundation as the official “MXC” trademark holder. Additionally, the MXC Foundation would also like to acknowledge the Google Play Store and Medium for respecting the MXC Foundation trademark and acknowledging international law.

Court proceedings are expected to take place in the Chinese Capital, Beijing in August 2020.

“We look forward to a quick end to this illegal and unscrupulous use of our international “MXC” trademark, allowing the MXC Foundation to continue our primary focus on becoming the most used IoT Token,” said Aaron Wagener, Founder, MXC Foundation.
